What is your favourite horse to use in Red Dead Redemption 2? Let us know in the comments below and check out our other Red dead redemption blog and video. The horse will be located as soon as Chapter 2 near the first ‘R’ from Roanoke Ridge. The only Andalusian coat that can be acquired for free in Story Mode is the Perlino coat. One of the most famous horses within Red Dead Redemption 2 is the black Shire horse that was gifted by Hosea Mattews to Arthur Morgan. Their good handling, good Acceleration and average speed, as well as their increased stamina and good health, make them great for long trips. There is one particular horse in Red Dead Redemption 2. This breed of horse is courageous and will not be spooked easily. Horses need a lot of love and care, including grooming, comfortable stables, feeding, and bonding. JackJackAttack22 Arthur Morgan White Arabian is my favorite. You could try the Standardbred or Thoroughbred if you want speed. ![]() You can get the dark bay Andalusian at the strawberry stables at the beginning of the game. The Andalusian horses are even a little bigger than Appaloosas. Dark Bay and Rose Gray coats are available at stables. Appaloosas are great horses and are about a good medium size. Their manes and tails are thick, their bodies are strong, and their heads are noble. Known for their powerful, compact size, the Andalusians are powerful war horses. Certain coats can be bought, and one is a special pre-order bonus horse. They can be found with 3 different coats, and are somewhat good quality war horses with high stamina and health. This makes them ideal for storming the enemy’s territory. These horses are wildly brave and seldom back down from a challenge. 4/5 ArdennesĪ strong warhorse like the Ardennes will carry you through any battle with ease. ![]() It is an extremely high tier breed of horse that has two different coat styles. Neither coat is available outside of stables for a price that exceeds $1,000. This horse is multiclass with high speed and high stamina that is great for racing. Their top speed is high, and they provide a smooth riding experience. Missouri Fox Trotters are great horses that combine the qualities of a racehorse with a workhorse to perform just about any task you throw at them. The Turkoman is a high speed and high health, so it is a great horse to have if you want to get places quickly and have a horse that isn’t going to abandon you when things get rough, so you can win those high-speed shoutouts. Turkomans are known for their health and high speed, but they are also known for being impatient and running from new owners, so make sure you establish a good relationship with yours right away. Turkomans combine the best qualities of racehorses and war horses, giving Arabians a great run for their money. It’s the most balanced horse in the game and once you have it, I doubt you will want another, especially since you will get compliments on your beautiful steed wherever you go. It can be found very early in the game and can be found very easily by Lake Isabella. ![]() The white Arabian is a great horse for many reasons. While the white Arabian horse can be obtained relatively early on, the other Arabians must be purchased at stables. You will have a much easier time surviving in the west with the powerful Arabian breed by your side. ![]() If you look at these horses in the stable you can actually see how they are moving around all restless and antsy looking.Arabian horses are among the best horses in RDR2, with the majority of them being the best in the game. Both are extremely skittish, the Arabian towards everything and my Turk darts half-way across the map if anyone fires a shot within 2 miles. The worst horses I have by far are actually the most expensive, the Black Arabian and Silver Turkoman. Not really afraid of anything, but it's clumsy, which is probably the best way a horse can be besides flawless, as long as you watch where you're going. I do have the ♥♥♥♥♥ Cob, and it's very good. My role horses seem to have just 1 minor flaw each, slightly afraid of either predator or gunfire(not enough that patting doesn't cure it), or clumsy. I own most of the expensive horses though and in my experience the level 20 role horses are probably the best, Missouri Fox Trotter and some of the 18 gold ones are pretty good too. It + hooded stirrups give almost unlimited stamina without even patting the horse, it basically has its own extra stirrups built in stat-wise.īest horse is debatable, and possibly varies due to possible hidden stats like bravery and clumsiness. It is the only saddle that adds +1 speed/accel and also another stat no other saddle has, -30% stamina drain rate I think. The Nacogdoches saddle is the best, with no competition.
